Tired?

Sorry to everyone about not posting much lately, I have been busy eating, sleeping and filling diapers, while dad is in the middle of oral surgery and Mom is trying to stay positive about my eating habits. Mom is doing great though! She loves Me more and more everyday! Good news....I am over 8 lbs now. Life is good. Thanks for checking in, I am also putting more pics on the web album.

Wedding

Saturday was Leila's first big outing. She ventured to Aj and Elizabeths wedding. She was carried around in our fancy ergo baby carrier, very cool. Grandpa Tom was very proud to be the only one to get to hold her in her pretty blue and white dress. Things went really well. She slept the entire time we were out. Life on the home front is good. Leila is feeding well, Scott is trying to keep up on all of his chores, and Megan is getting better every day.

Multitasking

Megan is already learning the art of multitasking as she is feeding the baby. She now was found time to read, schedule appointments, and pray during here hourly meeting with Leila. I think also that my daughter might be a worshipper. She consistently is raising her hands in worship, whether being awake or asleep. =)

Grandpa Kav's first Visit

Grandpa Kav came to town on Thursday to see his beautiful grand baby. It was a nice time, he made two great meals which will provide us with some left overs, and got some quality time with Leila. Leila is doing well, she is already sleeping 5 hours during the night which is awesome. Megan is getting better and better everyday. Yesterday I found Megan on her hands and knees scrubbing the floor. That girl is crazy. Today is our big day, we are going to venture outside with baby. We are going to go to a wedding here in town. It is rough though, I am having to type one handed while holding a sleeping baby. Could it get any better!

Where has all the sleep gone?

With another day behind us, things seem to be going better. Leila is getting more food, and finding more sleep time which is good for everyone. I must say that my Mom is amazing. She was the biggest blessing these last couple of day. I don't think that we would have made it or have been as well prepared and cared for if she had not come. Praise the Lord for Grandmothers! Leila also had her first bath yesterday. Having a baby nurse for a wife, the bath went flawlessly. I am hoping to have some video of the sacred event up soon.

Sleepless nights

No surprise to those that have kids, last night was a team effort with not much sleep between us. Baby leila has some gas and does't take to sleeping at night. With alittle anxiousness, my mother leaves today, I am hoping that we are up to the challenge....

Day 4 and 5

Baby Leila is definetly a born eater. As you can see in the first picture, she attempts to eat mommy's face. She is latching well and is starting to recieve some milk which is really good. Mommy is heal well, daddy is loving his little girl and painting the trim on the house. Check out more pictures in the web album.

Leila's first outfit to venture outside. She heads off to her first doctor appointment with Mom and Grandma, leaving dad behind sad and missing his girls.

Leila Nicole was born on September 5, 2008 at 11:33am at the St Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon. Proud mom and dad, Megan and Scott are so excited to meet her!
